Live Performance Videos – Anime Los Angeles

Back in January, I had the pleasure of performing as a soprano soloist with Tonario Orchestra at Anime Los Angeles. I sang music by Joe Hisaishi, Hikaru Utada, and Akira Senju. And now after a bit of time, there’s finally video to share!

Check out the performance videos in this playlist. It includes video from Anime LA as well as solo performances with the Angel City Chorale.

Awards Season!

The beginning of the year is crowded with awards programs, and the video game industry is no exception. I’m really honored to share that two projects I participated in this past year have been nominated for awards, and one has won!

Children of Termina – the dark symphonic retelling of Majora’s Mask by Rozen – has won the award for “Best Album: Fan-Arranged” in the Annual Game Music Awards put on by VGMO. I had an incredible time contributing vocals, score preparation, and production for this album, and I’m so proud of everyone involved for their hard work!

Ballad of the Windfish” from Rozen’s Ballads of Hyrule album (and featuring me on vocals) has been nominated for a Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) Award for Best Game Music Cover/Remix! I’m so excited to be included with a superb group of nominees. Stay tuned next month to find out if we win or not!

End of Year – 4 New Releases

It’s been a busy 2018, and things didn’t slow down going into December. I’ve had four new releases come out in the past few weeks!

Nov. 16: I released my second single – Sakura Nagashi – my take on one of my favorite ballads by Utada Hikaru.

Nov. 30: Rozen’s latest Zelda-themed album, Children of Termina, debuted (and made #9 on the Billboard Classical Chart this week!)

Dec. 4: My talented friend Marc Straight released iamheaven – a beautiful synth pop album on which I wrote two songs and sang one of them. Catch me on “Tremor” and my lyrics in “Ephemeral.”

Dec. 7: Materia Collective released their latest community album – OMEGA: a Tribute to Xenogears. I’m featured as a soloist on the penultimate track, “The Beginning and the End.”

I’ve had so much fun making music this year, and I can’t wait for what 2019 brings!

Angel City Chorale “One World” Album Released

After finishing in the semi-finals of America’s Got Talent this summer, Angel City Chorale has released a new live album, One World (Live from Los Angeles). I was so happy to help facilitate the release, and I am even more thrilled that it includes my latest piece for choir and orchestra, “Cempasúchil,” recorded at its premiere performance in June. I also arranged several pieces on the album, and I am featured as a soloist on “Samba Do Avião” and “Adiemus.”

The album is a stunning collection of songs from composers such as John Williams, Christopher Tin, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Karl Jenkins.

Check it out on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and more!

BestLuck game out now

Good news! The game BestLuck, on which I provided some vocals, is now available! It is a dreamy puzzle adventure game for phone or iPad. I was honored to represent the voice of the mysterious girl in your dreams. <3

BestLuck is developed by Jae Hyun Yoo, with music by Spencer Bambrick.

Upcoming Performances!

I will be traveling around the world twice in the upcoming weeks….traveling musically, that is! I am performing in two different “world” themed concerts:

First up, the UCLA Game Music Ensemble presents Around the World in Seven Games – a concert focusing on music from games that take place around the world. Featuring full orchestra, choir, some rare instruments, and guest stars! Concert is on May 24 at 8pm. Tickets are free but must be acquired here in advance. It will also be streamed online!

Next, the Angel City Chorale presents One World Many Voices II – a concert of world music including a new piece by Christopher Tin and the world premiere of my piece “Cempasúchil” for choir and orchestra! Join us on June 2 and 3 at 7pm. Buy tickets here.

Zelda Music Month! – 2 New Zelda Albums

May seems to be the month for releasing Zelda music! I am happy to be a part of two different albums of arrangements from the Legend of Zelda series, both of which release this month.

Ballads of Hyrule, an album of stunning orchestrations by Rozen, is officially out as of today, May 1st! Rozen asked me to sing on two of his pieces, and I was more than happy to oblige. The album is an excellent follow up to his Sins of Hyrule from last December.

Meanwhile, video game label and artist haven Materia Collective is releasing a giant album of music dedicated to Majora’s Mask!  I had the privilege of singing on pieces by Nautilus T Party, Fredrik Häthén, and Laura Intravia. FATE: A Tribute to Majora’s Mask arrives on May 24, and you’ll definitely want to check it out!
